The Gaybors Group is officially expanding its powerhouse talent ecosystem with the launch of Artists In Demand. Debuting with Queer Art Hub as its founding partner, the platform arrives in the U.S. and Canada first, offering businesses a streamlined way to source and work with LGBTQ+ painters, photographers, muralists, illustrators, designers, sculptors and videographers year-round.
For brands, agencies, businesses and event organizers, finding vetted, professional queer talent has often been a fragmented and time consuming process. By integrating visual artists into the established Gaybors Group network—home to Drag In Demand, Comedians In Demand, Creators in Demand and Music In Demand—the agency, now including Artists In Demand, provides a "one-stop gayborhood" for high-impact cultural plans, whether they are private, small to large scale events, festivals, campaigns, experiences, workshops, activations, immersions, and more.
With a five year history of working with queer talent, The Gaybors Group streamlines bookings — all while creating meaningful opportunities for out and proud talent and keeping the pink dollar where it belongs: in the gayborhood. With Queer Art Hub, it has grown to host 700+ artists from 30+ countries on its platform since its launch last year, bringing in its ecosystem and expertise in the art world to Artists In Demand.
“In today’s landscape, opportunities and funding for queer art and artists are shrinking - we need to counter that with systems and infrastructure that builds up the ecosystem for queer art,” said Garry Ho, National Director, Artists In Demand and Founder, Dear Queer Artists. “ Much like how Queer Art Hub is a legacy project, this is another way to help queer artists thrive while building presence and visibility for them even further.”
“Artists in Demand was created to ensure that queer artists aren’t just included, but valued, protected and paid fairly,” said Todd Murray, Founder and CEO, The Gaybors Group. “Our hope is that this goes beyond one off campaigns. We are building long term relationships that benefit all parties.”
Much like it does for creators, drag performers, queer musicians, comedians and more, Artists in Demand is uniquely positioned to advocate for and represent the queer community, as a queer-owned business.
The Gaybors Group is not a traditional “representation” or “booking agency”, offering:
Ethical Booking: We prioritize artist equity, ensuring more capital stays directly in the pockets of our talent.
Seamless Logistics: From multi-city festivals to complex corporate campaigns, we manage the contracts, payments, and coordination across the U.S. and Canada.
Authentic Queer Experiences: On top of booking artists for your specific needs, our roster of artists hosts experiences that bring queer art to life that fits your needs. From art walks and hands-on workshops to live art events, we’re your go-to destination for immersive experiences that celebrate and support the livelihood of queer artists.
Non-Exclusive Flexibility: And for queer artists, Artists In Demand is not an exclusive agency, offering more flexibility than traditional management, allowing for control over their opportunities as they continue to grow their brand while leaving logistical details to the us.
